Murrieta Fire & Rescue's 79th Annual Firefighters BBQ is Saturday, April 18, 2026

Murrieta Fire & Rescue (MFR) is hosting its annual Firefighter’s Barbeque on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Murrieta’s Town Square Park. In celebration of MFR’s 79^th anniversary, this year’s event will be bigger than ever, with live music at Murrieta’s Town Square Park Amphitheater and various activities throughout the day. The Murrieta Firefighter’s Barbeque is one of Riverside County’s longest-running events, with the first barbeque held in 1948. As is the tradition, barbeque guests will enjoy a smoked tri-tip lunch, music, a beer and wine garden, a bag-toss tournament, and a vendors’ market. Attendees will also get to cheer on fire explorers from throughout Southern California in the annual Fire Explorers “Muster” Competition.

Step into a magical afternoon at our first Royal Tea Party with Cinderella.

Families are invited to enjoy a charming English-style tea party filled with sweet treats, delightful savories, and enchanting moments with everyone’s favorite princess. Cinderella will make a grand entrance before leading the children through a magical hour of singing, dancing, storytelling, and royal games.

Each child will have the opportunity to interact with the princess, take photos, and create a memory they’ll treasure long after the tea cups are empty.

Poetry with Purpose: The Inland Empire’s go-to poetry experience where voices are heard, stories matter, and purpose is felt.

Each night features 20–30 poets taking the mic, each with 5 minutes to share their truth. From first-time performers to seasoned artists, this is a space built on courage, connection, and expression.
